WHO WE ARE
Cheryl Reynolds, owner of CRC Communications, is a South African based communications specialist.
Cheryl has experience and qualifications in management, marketing, digital communication and public relations.
In her role as Marketing and Sales Manager of BreatheTex Corporation, Cheryl travelled extensively, representing the organisation at trade missions internationally. Her role was to showcase and present product offerings to key international markets, conduct research & development and sales meetings with clients. She also championed the implementation of the SA Excellence Model, for which BreatheTex won the SA Excellence Award and the Africa SMME of the Year Award.
In 2004, Cheryl established CRC Communications and has implemented marketing and communication strategies and plans for small to medium businesses throughout the Eastern Cape.
She recently served as Stakeholder and Communications Manager at Wilderness Foundation Africa on a contractual basis for 7 years. Cheryl was accountable for the marketing and communications activities for the organisation, including brand development and implementation, report writing, media liaison, social media communication, stakeholder engagement, internal and external communication. In addition to this, Cheryl was instrumental in the development and implementation of a rhino horn demand reduction campaign in Vietnam, where she collaborated with international schools and business chambers plus environmental organisations, with the aim of ending the demand for rhino horn in this key user country.
During her tenure with the above organisations, they won the following awards:

- Exporter of the Year Award for 3 consecutive years
- Africa SMME of the Year
- SA Excellence Award
In her personal capacity, Cheryl has received the following accolades:
- Finalist in the Corporate Category of the Businesswoman’s Association Regional Business Achievers Awards Programme
- Nominated for the SA Woman of the Year
- Top Student of the MDP Programme at Nelson Mandela University in 2003
Leadership roles include:
- Chairperson of the Businesswomen’s Association in Port Elizabeth in 2009
- Director of Business Network International (BNI) Eastern Cape in 2011
